Housing Design Awards open

Entry submissions have opened for this year's Housing Design Awards, the annual prize organised by Design for Homes in conjunction with various government and industry bodies. A new category to celebrate London's most sustainable High Density Building has been incorporated into this year's awards. This has been created in recognition of London's current extraordinary rate of residential development and, in the words of London Sustainable Development Commission chairman Lord Barker of Battle, will "promote understanding of schemes that thrive at higher density so Londoners get more and better homes".
