Former leaders of the Airports Commission have written to MPs urging them to vote in favour of a proposal to expand Heathrow airport. Sir Howard Davies, former chair of the Airports Commission, and Sir John Armitt, who was a commissioner of the same group, have laid out the reasons the commission was in favour of a third runway at the country's busiest airport.
