Contractor's poor decisions

A wise man once said: "In construction, something goes wrong every day and it is how a company deals with this that differentiates it and determines success." Costain clearly knows about the former, but sadly not the latter. Nor is it a winner in the communications stakes. Just over a week ago, a day or two before its 2019 results announcement, the share price was 159p. A year ago, Costain shares were 341p (and in May 1989: £24.49). At the start of the week, it went down to 31p. The market is telling you that Costain is in serious trouble.
