Costain shares collapse

Costain's share price nosedived last week after the contractor announced a £100m rights issue to shore up its balance sheet following a loss last year. The firm's share price opened at the start of last week at 167p, closing at 105p on the day of its results last Wednesday and slumping further to 58p at close last Friday. The sell-off continued on Monday morning, slumping to 31p in early trading.
