Midlands councils target modular

The man in charge of housing at the West Midlands combined authority (WMCA) has said he wants offsite construction used for half the thousands of new homes the group plans to build in the next decade. Gareth Bradford, head of housing and regeneration at the authority, told Building at last week's Mipim property show in Cannes: "Councils in the Midlands are pushing for offsite and we really want the region to be the centre of UK modular."
