Bam has been appointed to carry out work redeveloping Whitby Hospital on the North Yorkshire coast in an £11.9m deal awarded under the government's P22 framework. Rotherham firm KDS Construction has been fined £70,000 by Sheffield magistrates court after pleading guilty to health and safety breaches after an employee was injured by a slab of concrete while working in an excavation in 2016.
