Khan blamed as Tf L struggles to fund Crossrail completion

Transport minister Andrew Jones has blamed London mayor Sadiq Khan for the government having to pump extra money into the late-running Crossrail. Jones told parliament that Khan was responsible for the precarious position Transport for London (TfL) is in as it races to complete the scheme. Questioned by fellow Tory MP Alex Burghart, whose constituency Brentwood and Ongar will be home to two Crossrail stations, Jones said the government was working with TfL to ensure the £16bn scheme was successfully delivered.
