Client enquiries for all types of building work have fallen to the lowest levels since 2005, according to the Federation of Master Builders.rnIts State of Trade Survey for the fourth quarter of 2007 found that 40% of builders had reported a drop in enquiries across the UK for both private and public sector commissions.rnThe FMB believes this is indicative of a slowdown in spending that is affecting both housing and non-residential builds. The report also found that it is becoming easier for builders to fi nd subcontractors and recruit employees.
