Architects will be able to move freely around Europe to work from the end of this month once a new EU directive on professional qualifications comes into force.rnThe directive allows mutual recognition of qualifications by EU member states, and applies to other professions including medicine and dentistry.rnAll professionals registered in their home countries will be automatically eligible to practise in other EU states.rnThe introduction of the rules may prove particularly useful for non-British architects who want to work in the UK.
