RA's Sensing Spaces leaves Brits in cold

No British architects have been chosen for the Royal Academy's largest-ever architecture show, which opens in January. Among the big names taking part in Sensing Spaces: Architecture Reimagined are Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, the man behind the V&A's new museum in Dundee, and Portugal's 2011 Pritzker prize winner Alvaro Siza. Show curator Kate Goodwin said: "We want the exhibition to provide visitors with the opportunity to experience the work of architects from the far reaches of the world." The RA has commissioned seven architects to create installations that will immerse visitors in sensory experiences rather than staging a traditional exhibition with models and drawings.
