A team including Fat, architectural historians Crimson and writer Owen Hatherley has been chosen to curate the British Pavilion at the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale. The trio beat architect David Knight, journalist Oliver Wain-wright and planner Finn Williams to the job, which will see them put together an exhibition relating to the theme Absorbing Modernity: 1914-2014. Final proposals were made to the judging panel this week. The jury, chaired by the British Council's Vicky Richardson, also included artists Jane and Louise Wilson, V&A Dundee director Philip Long and the Financial Times architecture critic Edwin Heathcote. The 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale is being directed by Rem Koolhaas. It takes place from June 7 to November 23.
