'Music's greatest architect' Mark Fisher dies at 66

The architect Mark Fisher, best known for his work on stage designs for U2, the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Lady Gaga, has died age 66. He passed away peacefully in his sleep last week at the Marie Curie Hospice in Hampstead after a long and difficult illness. Fisher was the founder of Stu-fish Entertainment Architects. As well as working on stage designs for music the firm was an executive producer in the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the royal opening of St Pancras International in London. Tributes poured in from friends and colleagues including Robbie Williams, who called him "music's greatest architect".
