Earlier this year, the U.S. General Services Administration honored 20 federal building projects as GSA Design Award winners. The biennial recognition program was launched in 2000 to encourage more thoughtful design approaches for federal building projects-solutions that are aesthetically pleasing, healthier and more productive for the occupants, easier to maintain, resilient, and environmentally friendly. The 2014 class showcases clever sustainable design solutions. Here are a few projects that caught our eye.
