Contemporary design, clean lines, and sparse ornamentation characterize leading-edge designs for kitchens and baths, according to the National Kitchen and Bath Association's 2014 Kitchen and Bath Design Trends Survey. Firms that do multifamily housing, senior living, workplace, hotel, extended-stay lodging, and other projects that incorporate kitchens and bathrooms will be affected by changing preferences, as revealed in the responses of 420 design professionals surveyed by the NKBA.
