Nashville residents have a considerable sense of pride in their city, and WKRN sought to harness that when it re-branded its news programming at the start of 2011. What was "News 2" is now "Nashville's News 2." Stan Knott came on board atop the station in the fall of 2010; he says the decision mostly predates him, but believes it sends the right message to viewers. "There's a real sense of pride in Nashville," Knott says, "it's a good town with a lot going on."
