SOOK: STATION M&A IN '6TH OR 7TH INNING'

The torrid pace of mergers and acquisitions that has defined local broadcast over the past two years is in its "6th or 7th inning," said Perry Sook, Nexstar president and CEO, with some $1.5 billion in station properties potentially in play over the next two years. Nexstar itself, fresh off acquisitions of Communications Corp. of America and Grant Communications, among others, has $500 million in deals that it is currently considering.
