When it launched nearly 21 years ago, Turner Classic Movies set out to deliver cherished film favorites to a national TV audience. More recently, the network has also been occupying hallowed cinephile ground, Hollywood Boulevard, to lure viewers out of their living rooms for a festival where treasured work screens in some of the country's best surviving movie houses. The TCM Classic Movie Festival, whose sixth edition runs from March 26-29, features several dozen films. This year's lineup ranges from The Sound of Music to Raiders of the Lost Ark to Marriage Italian Style, with several restored films screening as world premieres, complete with celebrity and red-carpet trappings.
