Organic TFT Technologies

A flexible display would be suitable for the mobile terminal of advanced digital-broadcasting services because the display is a very thin, lightweight and easily transportable. In order to realize a bright and high-quality picture display, thin film transistors (TFTs) are required to drive luminescent devices. Our laboratories are studying organic TFTs, which employ organic material as the semiconductor layer, with the goal of developing a TFT that can operate while in a bent state on a flexible substrate.
