Trends in Research on Next-generation Terrestrial Broadcasting

摘要

This Special Issue explained a large-capacity transmission system for next-generation terrestrial broadcasting that assumes fixed reception of terrestrial signals in the home. It reported on elemental technology for maintaining transmission capacity when simultaneously using the horizontal and vertical polarizations rather than just one or the other. It also reported on the transmission characteristics of terrestrial radio signals in an environment whose topography and features cause complex reflections.
