Approx. 20,000 People Visit 'STRL Open House 2014'

The NHK Science & Technology Research Laboratories (STRL) hosted its annual open house for four days, from Thursday, May 29, to Sunday, June 1. On the theme "Heart to Heart Technology," 31 exhibits on STRL's latest research results were presented to the public, including 8K Super Hi-Vision, which will begin test broadcasting in 2016, Hybridcast, which was launched last September, three-dimensional television, and human-friendly broadcasting technologies. A total of 20,115 visitors attended the exhibition.
