The greatest mission of broadcasting is to produce and deliver socially relevant content to its audience. However, in light of recent developments in media technology and the media environment, the ability of broadcasting to deliver video contents to the wider public seems to be at a turning point. Broadcast technology has constantly pursued better quality, higher resolution, and a greater sense of reality in video. 340,000-pixel standard-definition video grew into 2-megapixel Hi-Vision, and now we are ready to welcome Super Hi-Vision boasting 33 megapixels. Broadcasting is a stable and secure way to deliver video once a system is up and running, but the technology and media landscape are evolving faster than ever.
