Form and Functions Required for TV-watching Robots

摘要

Assuming the situation of people watching TV together with communication robots at home, we have analyzed and discussed user tendencies in accepting (preferring) active behaviors and passive behaviors of TV-watching robots as well as the relationship of those tendencies to current robot ownership. We also examined form and function in the actual design of a TV-watching robot. From those results we conclude that knowing if the intended user normally uses a communication robot is important in designing a TV-watching robot.
