Colombia's longest bridge project nearly back on schedule

Delays in the construction of the 2,250m-long Pumarejo Bridge in Colombia are being recovered and work is now expected to accelerate further with the use of the newly erected movable scaffolding system. The US$220-million project entails construction of a cable-stayed bridge and 900m of access viaducts and roads. The deck will carry six lanes of traffic as well as a 1.5m-wide cycling lane and a 2.2m-wide pedestrian footway.
