Some comments on 'Measurement of contractile forces generated by individual fibroblasts on self-standing fiber scaffolds' by Jeon et al. (2011)

Jeon et al. (2011) reported on a series of novel experiments aimed at measuring contractile forces exerted by fibroblasts. In this short note, we provide some critical comments on their interpretation of scaffold deformation and their derivation of contractile force exerted by the fibroblasts.
