We already provide communications capability for Royal Navy platforms and the RAF's C17's and In June, Viasat made a strategic investment by acquiring a ground networks company based near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire with a strong reputation of delivering integrated communications solutions to a number of UK government agencies. In addition, the Cheltenham company's work on internet of things (loT) and connected car technologies will be a strategic cornerstone for Viasat because of the connected mobility that it will give both Ministry of Defence (MoD) and UK Government customers.
