Welcome to the third issue of BATTLESPACE for 2013, our annual vehicle special for the DVD event. AS defence budgets across the world adjust to budget deficits, the US has seen the biggest upheaval with the implementation of the $43 billion Sequestration implementation. Sequestration has left bean counters and journalists alike struggling to find the real downside of this policy with many outcomes predicted. All agree that the US Defense base will be smaller post-sequestration with some suggesting that the layoffs taking place would have occurred in any event due to the cessation of Supplementals and the run down to the end of the war in Afghanistan. However pundits are not predicting a sudden 'Peace Dividend' with Africa and the Middle East seen as the next potential hotspots, with global jostling in Asia.
