MORPHEUS Takes Shape

The MORPHEUS Programme will deliver the next generation of tactical communications for the British Army, Royal Marines and RAF Regiment. The programme seeks to establish a viable and affordable system, able to support land and littoral operations for the next 30 years. The basis for this is an architecture that meets today's needs whilst supporting regular technology refreshes to maintain capability in the face of changing operational demands and technical development. It seeks to achieve this by improving programme coherence, applying good systems engineering practices, exploiting emerging commercial technologies and creating a vibrant supplier base by, for example, taking an open systems approach.
