My fragile profile foamie has a small LiPo battery that is held on with Velcro. Unfortunately, this Velcro is quite tenacious and is stronger than my airplane. When trying to remove the battery, I've broken the area around the battery several times. If you have a method or tip for battery removal, please share. This removal process is driving me crazy. Use two plastic credit cards or those small calendar cards that are about the size of a driver's license. While holding the fuselage at its thickest spot and in a level attitude, work the rounded corner of one card under the Velcro on one side of the battery to break the Velcro's bond. This may take a minute or two, so be patient. Once you have broken the bond, leave the card in place between the two Velcro strips. This will prevent them from hooking together again. Take the second card and do the same thing on the other side. Once that bond is broken, keep the card in place and you'll be able to effortlessly remove the battery. It's not rocket science, but it works really well, and you won't have a damaged model anymore. Just be very careful with how you work those cards into place.
