Bungee launching EDF models Is easy and a preferred method if you don't have landing gear and a paved runway as it gives you a consistent and perfect launch every time. The supplies needed are fairly common and inexpensive. My setup consists of 40 feet of 1/4-inch bungee cord, (you can also use 3/16) diameter surgical tubing,) with a ring attached on one end and a loop on the other end for a metal stake. The reason the bungee is so long, is to produce a steady, consistent pull. Shorter bungee lengths produce a short aggressive pull that's far too aggressive.
