Flyzone Calypso

There are many traditional electric foam aircraft on the market for beginners, and I often recommend them to my students. The Calypso is my new favorite recommendation because it has all the control surfaces a pilot would encounter, it's a quick build, and it's easy to maintain. The single belly wheel, front nose plate, and tail skid protect the aircraft from damage when landing, something a beginner would appreciate compared to repairing a typical tricycle after a less than optimal landing. The durable EPO foam is a favorite of pilots, as it is both strong and flexible and in the event of a crash it's repairable with CA glue.
