Typically, when you're talking about an aerobatic move and the words "death" and "spiral" are together, the result is not a good one, However, don't let the name intimidate you because it doesn't mean the end of your beloved machine! This maneuver is fairly easy to do with good collective management and limited skills. The first time someone explained this move to me years back, I was mainly flying airplanes and quickly related it to a knife-edge spin. But unlike the hit or miss of getting my airplane into that perfect spin, the death spiral can easily be executed each and every time as you become familiar with the proper entrance to this trick move.
