Cool Tool

If you have seen or heard of Prezi, you most likely interact with high school or college students. Prezi is a dynamic online presentation tool, an alternative to Microsoft's PowerPoint software that is gaining in popularity, especially with students. As with every tool, the strengths and weaknesses lie with the user. Last spring, when I traveled to a local high school to evaluate students' final projects, I was completely wowed by a 17-year-old who steered the audience through her research project via Prezi. By the end of her talk, I wanted to hire her! Then during the fall semester, some undergraduates in my introductory microbiology class used Prezi to successfully illustrate their project on food microbiology.
