AWIS Educational Foundation Awards for 2005

I want to take this opportunity to thank AWIS members and others who contributed to the Educational Foundation. Once again this year, special thanks go to Eric Rechel and the Amy Lutz Rechel Foundation for their significant contribution to the Amy Lut2 award and the predoctoral program more generally. I also am pleased to announce that friends and colleagues of Helen Conrad Davies have contributed funds for an annual college program award in her honor, on the occasion of Helen's 80th birthday (see www.awis.org/ careers/educationbio.html for a capsule biography). I encourage other AWIS members to consider a contribution to the Educational Foundation at the time of AWIS membership renewal. Even a modest contribution of $5 or $10 adds up to our being able to select additional awardees among the many deserving applicants.
