10,000th Airbus A320 Ordered

European manufacturer Airbus has securec the 10,000th order for its A320 Family as part of a $3.9bn deal with JetBlue Airways. Firm orders have been placed for 35 aircraft, 15 A321ceos and 20 A321 neos, as well as a change to commitments for eight A320ceos and ten A320neos to the A321 ceo and A321 neo respectively. The carrier's President and CEO Dave Barger said: "We are pleased to convert some of our A320 positions to A321, and sign a deal for additional A321s to better match capacity with demand. The A321 is the ideal aircraft for our high-density markets. We are eagerly looking forward to the Sharklets retrofits and the neo jets, which will help to further reduce our operating costs."
