Learjet 85 Development Suspended

Bombardier has announced that it is to "pause" development of its Learjet 85 midsized business jet. The Learjet 85 made its public debut at the NBAA Convention in October 2014 but its development has been protracted, and Bombardier's priorities are to get the C-Series airliner and the Global 7000 and 8000 business jets certificated as quickly as possible. Bombardier is to lay off around 620 workers at its Wichita plant and 380 at its factory at Queretero in Mexico where the composite airframes were to be manufactured.
