Russia has secured the first export order for its Sukhoi Su-35 Flanker-E fighter after China signed a contract covering the purchase of 24. The deal, estimated to be worth $2 billion, was confirmed by Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov in November. Chemezov was quoted by the Russian daily newspaper, Kommersant on November 19 as saying: 'The long negotiations on the delivery of Su-35 to China are over, we have signed a contract." Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian, said: "The Su-35 fighter jet project is one of the areas in which China and Russia are willing to co-operate."
