UZBEKISTAN AIRWAYS has taken delivery of an Airbus A340-313 which it will operate on behalf of the country's president. The jet, M-IABU (c 955), is owned by Russian tycoon Alisher Usmanov via Klaret Aviation and has been leased for an unspecified period. It is configured in a dedicated WIP layout and replaces Uzbekistan Airways' Boeing 787s, which feature an airline-standard two-class layout and were drawn from the flag carrier's fleet on an ad-hoc basis.
