Australian media production system manufacturer Fairlight has brought out an integrated HD video and audio platform, its Dream 21.5. The new software comes with on board video as standard and it provides support for a comprehensive array of video and audio interchange formats. Users can simply drag and drop their required file to the project timeline, or use the Dream 2 video system can be used as an HD VTR with a 9 pin machine control to capture video directly from HD video decks. Fairlight has also announced that its Constellation large format mixing consoles are being used in the new broadcasting campus being built for the Olympics by China Central Television. The two Constellations will run on MAC hardware and integrate into CCTV's Dayang media network to deliver an entirely tape less workflow for both audio and video.
