Ross Ashton: Project consultant & content designer

Ross Ashton is a projection consultant and content designer who has worked in the industry for more than 25 years. He trained in France, learning about architectural mapping whilst working on son et lumiere before setting up an office in London. Nowadays, he also owns a business in India creating permanent installations for heritage sites, including producing the content for the Sun Temple at Konark. In 2002, he projected on to Buckingham Palace for the Queen's Golden Jubilee. Since then he has worked all over the world creating projection events on a variety of scales, from small arts festivals to the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics. For the last 15 years Ross has been the projection manager at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo - one of the largest and best-known military spectacles in the world. Here he manages a series of visual projection displays on to the façade of Edinburgh Castle for the month of August.
