Citroeen introduces breakthrough technology

Radical new technology promises to enable a new generation of Citroeen cars to shave around 20 per cent from the cost of motoring in less than three years' time, reports Maurice Glover. And the revolutionary automatic stop-go feature of the Dynalto system also promises to clean up city centres by reducing exhaust pollution into the bargain. A breakthrough development which replaces the conventional starter and alternator with a single unit produces so much power that it makes engines burst into life without any of the traditional "cranking" noise.
