THE MORPHOLOGICAL STANDARD FOR THE CURRENT RUSSIAN LANGUAGE CORPUS

Theoretical and practical aspects are considered in representing morphological information in a corpus of texts for today's Russian language (second half of the 20th century and start of the 21st). The morphological standard for the corpus is the basis of a unified annotation for the language units: this involves a set of decisions associated with the structure of morphological categories, and also with the composition of word paradigms, and it involves a unified treatment of debatable aspects of Russian grammar. These decisions should on the one hand incorporate the grammatical tradition and be clear for users, while on the other hand they should allow implementation in technological tagging.
