Using Statistical Patterns of a Natural Language to Optimize Direct Searching in Texts

The temporal characteristics of direct searching in texts with the use of symbols and bigrams as compared objects are considered. The influence of the frequency of occurrence of symbols and bigrams, as well as the query size and the quantity of reiteration of query words in a text on search time, is shown. The possibility of using trigrams for a direct search is also considered.
