摘要

To estimate the friction coefficient between a tire and the road surface while a vehicle is running, the numerical values of tire parameters, which vary in accordance with the tire tread wear, are measured. These values of a new tire, however, differ from those of worn tire as well as another one. This paper describes the determination method of tire parameters for the real time estimation of friction between the tire and the road surface by the use of small braking and driving forces.
