The first dedicated residential modular factory in California: Hoopa Modular Building Enterprise Debuts

Hoopa, CA—Grand opening ceremonies for the new Hoopa Modular Building Enterprise factory were held August 10, 11, 12 and 13. They included visits by potential builders, activities by the Hoopa Tribal Council plus guests from the state legislature as well as other dignitaries. Brandy Morton, vice president, said that the idea for having a modular factory in that area originated more than five years ago. Jasper Hostler, then a member of the tribal council, thought it would be a great idea to have a housing factory there in order to provide housing for members of the tribe as well as jobs.
