Ventura, CA—Addressing the scenario that every engineered building salesman fondly envisions, the Automated Builders Consortium (ABC) based here, and Land/Home Financial have combined resources to enable sales people to sell a home and initiate the mortgage loan paperwork at the same time. The idea was first aired in an Automated Builder Magazine editorial by Editor and Publisher Don O. Carlson some five years ago. The idea was based on tales of the frustrations of sales people who made the deal for a home sale meeting the needs of the buyers only to have a financial institution pull the rug out with ill-informed opinions of engineered homes.
