The year 2009 marks the 40th anniversary of the TIME Magazine Dealer of the Year Award, which over the years has come to represent "the most prestigious award a new-car dealer can receive."rnTIME Magazine, in association with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, is pleased to present this year's awards to 49 distinguished automobile dealers from across the country. Each candidate is nominated by either state or local associations of franchised new-car dealers. A faculty panel from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan then selects three regional winners and the Dealer of the Year.
