摘要

Geon is set to cut more staff as the company restructures its eastern seaboard manufacturing and distribution operations. The trans-Tasman company is expected to make around 35 staff redundant in the latest move, which will see the closure of the former Impact Printing site in Brunswick, with 15 staff being redeployed by Geon. The company says the changes acknowledged the challenging economic and print industry conditions whilst maintaining Geon's focus on operation and production efficiencies, press maximisation and cost reduction. Over recent months, Geon has implemented projects focused on systems alignment across the business; adopting national structures; streamlining business processes; introducing new technologies; and has concluded a review of its geographical footprint.
