Part 3: Focused learning at the Queensland College of Wine Tourism

Temples of learning affect people in different ways; I still feel that sense of fear when the atmosphere recalls personal memories of horrid and brutal school days. Other buildings of learning can be temples - the atmosphere leading to reverence, respect or intimidation, with people talking in hushed tones.rnThe Queensland College of Wine Tourism is warm and welcoming to enter. Although at the time of my visit there were no students, I found the atmosphere light and relaxed yet also an area of study and learning.rnWhat makes this a special place is the way its curriculum is constructed - it caters for all yet is not such a huge complex of buildings as to be overbearing. At its basic level it works with 13 high schools (years 11/12) acting as a feeder into wine tourism or winemaking.
