Can you distinguish between a Wiki and a Moodle as educational tools? Two education librarians with doctorates in law (JDs, not LLDs) working at the University of North Texas have joined forces to produce a clearly written introduction to the implementation of interactive Web 2.0 tools (introduced in Chapter 1). A particular feature of this work (not always found in other recent publications on Web 2.0) is the area of creating learning interfaces for non-traditional as well as more conventional students in higher education. LibGuides (Chapter 2), cloud computing (Chapter 3) and mobile apps (Chapter 4) set the scene by indicating some of the currently available tools. Chapter 5 carries this further by giving practical hints on learning evaluation and offering comments on the use of current and Web 3.0 technology - although it fails to satisfy the expectation raised by the chapter heading, which also refers to academic staff and administrators in higher education. That topic warrants a book of its own, because the teaching librarian has to work in the academic and institutional administrative environment, both of which can expand or limit the methods, tools and effectiveness of the educational process.
