Canadian ISS program involvement

Robotics technology, the expansion of research and science in space and dedicated international liaison are the key sectors in which Canada has positioned itself to continue to thrive as a global community partner in future space operations. These areas have led to growth in industry, improvements in medicine and allow for new scientific paradigms to emerge. Canada's participation in the International Space Station (ISS) has enabled it to redefine and advance scientific concepts of robotics technology. The Mobile Servicing System was designed to be a network of elements on the space station intended to support assembly, transport elements and perform simple to complex tasks in space.
